Visit to IDPs in Yaounde
We visited the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Etougebe, Biyemassi in Yaounde from the North West and South West regions. We noticed many of these IDPs went from door to door asking for help in the form of food, clothing, and shelter. They also offer to do petit jobs to have what to eat. These videos are excepts from the session, with the women expressing their gratitude for the aid we provided.
Also, from our observation and information gathered, many of these IDPs especially the young girls and women are trading themselves to take care of their families. We therefore were able to assist them by sharing the following with them:
- Rice (50kg each)
- Vegetable oil (2L each)
- Soap (3 bars of 400g)
- Fresh fish (3 each)
- Salt (1kg each)
- Honey cube (a pack each)
They were pleased and expressed their profound gratitude.
